ICL big guns land in India
The ‘rebel’ cricket Twenty20 league gets ready to welcome its early birds
The big guns of the Indian Cricket League are finally arriving in India. They are the Nathan Astles from New Zealand, the Vikram Solankis of England, and the Daryll Cullinans and Lance Kluseners from South Africa, the Brian Laras from West Indies.
Most are here.
And their reactions ranged from sheer joy at just being able to play (Astle), to happy reminiscence.
With the Brian Laras and the Inzamam-ul Haqs soon to join practice, the non-Indian side of the country’s cricketing scene is hotting up. And with Team India having already wrapped up the Pakistani ODI series, eyeballs are towards these rebels now.
