Indian Cricket League Approaches Two Irish Players To Join Them

The Indian Cricket League has now stretched its search even to distant Ireland with two Irish cricketers paceman Boyd Rankin and wicket-keeper Niall O’Brien being offered contracts to be a part of the rebel league.

“I hope to be in a position to sign it next week,” Derbyshire’s Rankin was quoted as saying to BBC.

With ICL offers touching Irish shores, the Irish Cricket Union chief executive Warren Deutrom now plans to discuss the matter with Rankin, 23, and Northamptonshire’s O’Brien, 25.
